Safety is paramount on our jobs. Whether you need a customized safety program or a professional review of your existing safety program, we can be of service to you.

Our staff excels in regulatory compliance. We can audit your plan for completeness, common sense and effectiveness, and offer recommendations for upgrades and improvements. We have a full staff of safety advisors available on a contract basis as well. Sorensen Gross Construction Services (SGCS) also offers comprehensive Drug Testing Programs and Site Safety Audits.

Training

SGCS has developed effective and efficient training programs that have been proven to change the way employees think about safety on the job. We train in the M.U.S.T. program, and these programs can be held at your office, on project sites or you can even send your personnel to us. Whichever method you choose, an investment in training is an investment in your most important asset, your employees’ safety.

Safety first, last and always

Safety in all of our operations is not just a corporate goal, it’s a requirement. As a result, we’ve developed an extensive written policy to govern the operations of SGCS.

Employees

It is a condition of employment with SGCS that each employee adheres faithfully to the safety rules, instructions and procedures outlined in our corporate safety program. Failure to comply may result in actions as outlined in the Safety Program.

Adherence to this policy is also required of all subcontractors, material suppliers or anyone else issued a purchase order by SGCS. This policy, as well as all applicable state, federal and local codes and regulations, must be adhered to. Failure to do so will be interpreted as a breach of contract terms and cause for contract termination.

Visitors

All visitors to SGCS operations, including, but not limited to, suppliers and owner representatives, shall be required to follow safety rules and regulations in effect during their visit.

We will make every effort to ensure the operations of other contractors not under our control do not endanger the safety of our employees. To this end, all employees are required to report hazardous activities of other employees to appropriate SGCS personnel. All employees of SGCS have the full support of management in enforcing that provision of this policy.
